Brink of Fall

We are on the brink of Fall.  I finally have surrendered to the infrequent trips to the neighborhood pool, in exchange for the crisp, cool weather we've been exerperiencing. Normally, I'm like a kid on the first day of school when thinking about Fall, but this summer has been so incredibly fun since we've been able to head to the pool so often.

HOWEVER...

Now that I've accepted the fact that Summer is at a close, I am bubbling with excitement once again for Fall! Fall always beacons me to create, bake, and imagine. Having this mindset challenges me in so many areas.

Last week we had a very social week with friends and family over day after day, and I was excited to bake some yummy pies.  With my little baker Laney ready and excited to help me in the kitchen, I was ready to tackle some homemade pie crust for apple and pumpkin pie!

Mmm.

I hope that some of these challenges include catching up on our family blog, making a few outfits for the girls for Fall, continuing my 2011 goal of decluttering and organizing, digging deep in some discipleship relationships and homeschooling Laney. 

Wait and see!
