I just noticed that I have SOOOOOOOOOO many awesome pics from the month of Oct that I really want to share with you. I have been running from one thing to another that I totally forgot about them.
Let's start with my 30th birthday! On my actual birthday, I woke up to beautiful flowers, a card from Laney and Hugh and a DVD. I love it when Hugh plans ahead and surprises me!!! About a month before my birthday, I found a bistro set that I LOVED and wanted for our front porch, so he bought that for me. That night Hugh surprised me and took me to the Red Room Lounge in downtown Raleigh. I had never been there before, but let me tell you, it was AWESOME!!! Our meal was a big compilation of lots of "tapas," little gourmet appetizers. The atmosphere was very modern and cutting edge. Here's a picture of the entrance.
The weekend before my birthday, my parents came up and stayed the longest they've ever stayed. It was so much fun!! Here we are at Macaroni Grill, my favorite place to eat!! MMM!!!
My mom did an amazing job of entertaining Laney while Hugh and I enjoyed eating dinner along with everyone else.
I opened my gifts from my parents, and I got a beautiful leather purse and a green necklace. I can now carry a purse since Laney is older. :)
After Macaroni Grill, my parents took Laney home to put her to bed and Hugh and I went to a Guess the Gender Party at a Mexican Restaurant. We didn't eat, of course, but it was sooo nice to just sit and enjoy time with friends. Below Page, the mother to be, and I posed for a pic after finding out that they are having a little girl and naming her Sayde. How sweet!
