We usually make bread every four to five days. I let the bread sit mixed up overnight (aka: soaking) in the oven with the oven light on in order break down the phosphorous in the grain. Phosphorous will prevent your body from absorbing all the greatness these fresh grains have to offer. Doing this will also help the digestion process to be done with ease.
I have a little bread maker that helps me make my bread. She loves to get in a chair and watch me make bread or watch me cook. Since Laney loves to "do what Mommy does" throughout the day and especially in the Kitchen, I'd love to get one of these one day to add "safety" to her helping hand and curious eyes. It will also help me "teach" her what I love: nutrition & cooking as well as foster self-reliance. With her standing in the chair, I have to be EXTRA careful and really have to keep one eyeball on her and one on what I'm cooking/making.
Here's my little bread maker!

ok, so I need all the details on your bread making process! I so want to start this in our home but I am not quite prepared with a grinder (do you grind your own grain) or a bread maker (do you even use a bread maker?), etc... Once you finish your intense potty training week and have a moment to email me all the details, I would love it (including your recipes!)!
