Visit with Mee-Mee! - PIC HEAVY!

Yesterday Laney said "Mee-Mee!", last weekend she said "Papa" and two weeks ago she said "Nana"! She said Papa and Nana long before she turned a year, but she didn't know who she was talking about and then really didn't say their names at all until now.

This morning I remembered the pics that I have yet to post from Mee-Mee and Nana's visit this past month. I have so many pictures to post from June, so most of the posts are going to be pic heavy. Enjoy the pics!





Laney kicks a ball pretty hard and always with her left foot. I don't know if that means anything, but we've just noticed that it's with her left foot. I really am surprised at how well she kicks the ball and how far it goes.


Laney likes to pick up Daisy's backyard toys, bring them to Daisy and try to put them in Daisy's mouth. Most of the time, Daisy doesn't take it, but seeing her be so sweet to Daisy is so precious. Sometimes she's rough with Daisy, like try to poke her eye out when she's pointing and saying "Eye!" or when she climbs on her and pulls her hair. I usually hear Daisy yelp and I go running to save Daisy. Usually, Daisy will just get up and go somewhere else in the house. Daisy always wags her tail when Laney talks to her and pets her. We are so SO blessed to have such a sweet, loving dog, even when poked and prodded.

I LOVE this picture. Laney always swings her arms, in particular her left arm, when she is walking without holding something. It's the cutest thing. She swings that one arm so high from one extreme to the other.

Hugh used to play this game with Laney when she was a wee-little one, while he sits on the coffee table and helps her climb up to his lap (using the coffee table to climb). So guess what? Yeah, she now likes to climb on the coffee table. I think she would have climbed up it either way, knowing how she loves to climb just about anything. It's a big "No-No" to climb the coffee table. She's quickly learning that and we ALWAYS have to keep our eyes peeled for a little climbing monkey now-a-days.

While Laney is little, I better take advantage of this small window of opportunity for her to wear a two-piece bathing suit. Hugh won't let her wear one when she gets a little older. I don't blame him!
