Please, everyone pray with urgency for Hugh's cousin Edward. Here is the email we received this Monday morning. It was written at 4:00 am by Hugh's Uncle.
Everyone, could you please be praying for our grandson, Edward Hagan. He is at the UNC-Chapel Hill hospital fighting for his life tonight. The doctor's just told them at 3:30 A.M. that they need to get Teradee home from college because her brother may not make it through the next 24 hours. His liver has shut down. Edward has been throwing up and running a fever off and on since Friday, and since he was not any better Georgia took him to an urgent care this afternoon. Once their lab results came back they told her all of his liver results were abnormal and that they needed to take him to the ER at the local hospital in Cary, NC. Around 11:00 the hospital in Cary told them his liver was very bad and that they needed to transport him to UNC Chapel Hill because it was a better facility for pediatrics. During the time between they arrived at the ER in Cary, NC and the time the doctors told them this at 11:00, Edward confessed that on Friday he had taken 15 tylenol at one time -- he's never sick and he never takes tylenol or anything so the doctor told them they are sure this is what has shut down his liver. The ambulance came and transported him around midnight to UNC - Chapel Hill. There the doctors continued testing and just came to talk to them at 3:30 A.M., told them they needed to get Teradee home because he may not make it through the next 24 hours, but that if he does make it he will need long term care such as a liver transplant, etc. Please pray that Edward will live and to be okay -- we are not sure if he has ever given his life to Christ. He is 15 years old.

Dear God,
Our hearts are crying out for Edward tonight. Press the Holy Spirit upon him in his hospital bed...do not let him rest until he confesses the name of Jesus as his Lord and Savior. We want you to heal his body, but we are desperate for you to claim his soul, Lord. Whatever the days ahead hold, God, use it to make Your name famous through the life of Edward. Use Hugh & Hollie to point to You as the Great Physician, the One who can heal our souls. And God, we do ask for his body to be healed and restored; let those doctors and nurses do good work that will glorify our Father in heaven. Thank you for giving us the ability to come before your throne of grace with confidence, Lord. We bless your name in all circumstances.
