Laney is officially crawling! She's been semi-crawling for a while, trying to coordinate her arms and legs for a smooth transition. Now, she's got it down pat! She is sooo excited to crawl and smiles ear to ear! Seeing her face as she crawls is so wonderful as a parent, for I've seen her struggle and struggle to get places and to no avail. But now, she's across the room in seconds. Our house has not been baby-proofed, so I'm following her around the house, picking up extention cords(her favorite), Daisy's food and water bowls, even a piece of string on the ground. She zooms on everything. Our Aunt Maryann let us borrow her grandson's walker, so we went to get it out of storage. As I was cleaning it off and checking for bugs before putting her into it, she crawled over to it and pulled herself up to standing position!!!!!!!!! I'm NOT kidding! It happened SO FAST. I couldn't believe my eyes. I looked up and saw her STANDING beside me, holding onto the walker that was in the lowest position(near the floor). She can't reach to the height of the coffee table yet(praise the Lord), but she can pull up on things in her reach. Yikes!! Soon, she'll be stumbling across the room. I am in process of making a video of her scooting and now crawling. Check back sometime today, and I'll have it up and running! Off to babyproof the house!

Way to go Laney!! Now you are really going to keep your mama on her feet arn't you :) It's so cute how proud they are of themselves when they learn to get around. Can't wait to see the video!

I love the purple longies…You’re so resourceful!! I hope you guys are doing great! I am so proud of her; watching her “motor” around on her own. It’s nice to get a little preview of what Hailey will be doing in a few months each time I check out your blog. =) She’s beautiful.
