6 1/2 months!!

Laney is looking so much like an "older" baby. Oh, I just want to stop time right now. Here she is sporting her robe after her bath this morning, just minutes ago. Hugh and I are robe people, mainly in the winter b/c it's soo burraciously cold. This morning, she covered herself in cereal, so I dipped her in the bath really quickly. Having a quick, warm bath to rinse off helps calm her down to get her prepared for "night-night". She's in her crib right now rolling around playing. She'll soon get a little cranky telling me she's ready to go to sleep, and she'll drift off into lala-land. (Oh by the way, while writing this, she fell asleep after I walked in there and gave her her pacifier. Yippie! Time for Mommie to get out of her pj's!)

Laney is so close to having some teeth break through and crown. I can see about four white bumps on the bottom underneath the gums. It's only a matter of time until they break through. Her look will change so much once they do crown. She'll look even more older. What a bitter-sweet thought. I'm glad she's tracking with the books concerning her development.

In the quick video below, Laney is showing me how much she wants to start reading. :) I looooove getting books for her, and she loves this one particular book by Karen Katz. It's a potty training book, but don't worry, we're not focusing on that right now. We're just preparing the way for a year or two from now, but she loves it, because it's so colorful. It's also a flip book and there are big pictures and words. I'm really liking Karen Katz's books. They are simple, to the point, colorful and fun for kids. I've gotten two of them at TJ MAX (my fav store by the way), but I've seen them featured numerous times online at babycenter.com, which is very popular site for pregnant and new mommies. (By the by: Word on the street says that cloth diaper babies potty train earlier than those in disposibles b/c they feel the icky wet/poopie diaper on their little bums. Let's hope that's the case.)

Thanks for dropping in!

Hey Hollie,
Like the video - in that first pic of Laney in her robe, she especially looks like you.
PS- If you think you're little bebe is growing up too fast, just do what we did and start having another one! ha!
