My dad has a drive about him that only a high action lifestyle can satisfy. He was so excited about this, although he hated being away from my mom and family. He said he feels so gifted in this area of leadership. I covet your prayers for him and his team regarding safety, protection of their minds, that they would become a family and that they would seek the Lord and be fruitful for His Kingdom. You never know what these men see out there in war, so praying that their minds would be protected is very important. I told my dad I would get prayer support going for him and his team.
My brother Richie is in the Army as well, but is getting ready to move to Alaska. Richie has had numerous buddies, with which he went to college and are now in the Army, get seriously injured while being stationed in Iraq (Incredible 3rd degree burns from hidden bombs, arms/limbs being blown off...etc..) We need your prayers!
So, looking at the picture, can you find him? If you look closely, you'll see the different jobs of each of these men from Team Medic to Intelligence Trainer. I think this picture is SOOO COOL!!!!

No way! I just emailed Austin and my dad the link to your blog. I can't believe your dad has gone back in AND is over in Iraq right now...you know we will hold him up in our prayers. How's your mom doing with it all?
Hey Hollie - I will definitely keep your dad and his group in my prayers! joni :)
Hi Hollie, Laney is so cute!! What a sweetie-pie!
As you know we are looking out for your dad here in Wisconsin, especially Mr. Pat who will be sending your dad anything he needs in the area of gear that will make his life more comfortable and safe. I will be sending snack care packages as well. And, your mom..... well she will do just fine. I keep both your mom and dad close to my heart, and pray every night for peace in that region.
Sam and Lauren are still stationed in Italy (Army). They are doing great. Sam will be going to Afghanistan this coming June for one year. (He already spent a year in Iraq in 2004-05, and Afgahanistan for 5 months late 2005). They will be home to visit us in Wisconsin this week. I am very excited to see them.
Congratulations to Richie on his commission, his soon to be marriage, and tour to Alaska. Richie and his wife will love Alaska. Mr. Pat was stationed there for 2 years before he retired from the Army. It is a beautiful state .... and lots of fishing (Richie will love it).
Take care of that sweet Laney, and best of luck to you and Hugh always,
Ms. Cheryl
This is such a cool picture of my brother and the team. I know God will watch over them with our prayers. Stay safe and God's speed.
Love you Sandy(your good looking sister)
