Immediate Prayer Request

Can I ask a favor of you dear friend? If you could say a prayer to the Lord for my Grandma Aileen and her health I'd greatly appreciate it. She was rushed to the hospital today(Christmas Eve) because she was experiencing shortness of breath. Once being admitted to the emergency room, doctors said she had elevated blood pressure, a rapid heartbeat and really swollen eyes. Some indicators of artery blockage are similar to these symptoms that she's experiencing, but we're just not certain as to what is going on. The heart specialist will be coming by Christmas morning to check on her and talk with her. She's pretty much the "oak" of our extended family and is one tough cookie. However, today she was broken-hearted, moved to tears, that she was in the hospital so close to Christmas and was nervous about what the next few weeks could bring, since she could possibly be a candidate for surgery to clear some blockage. She lives in Martinsville, VA and is a believer/follower of Jesus. I am so thankful to have such a godly woman after which to pattern my life. She would greatly appreciate your prayers. Her husband Sam(whom she married after my granfather passed away) was crying alongside her this afternoon, as they anxiously thought about what happened today and what awaited them in the days to come. You always hear about these health complications during the stressful holidays, but you truly never think such events will happen to your own flesh and blood. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers. I'll keep posting updates as I receive them.
