Survival Weekend

What a weekend! shew! (This is Hollie, btw.) To update you on my health, I had a platelet checkup last Friday at Piedmont Hospital. My platelets are a tad bit lower than "my" normal, which is low anyways. Let's learn a little bit about platelets, shall we? The low-normal level is 130,000. Mine usually averages around 95,000 or so, but when I'm sick or fighting off a cold, my levels go down. Last Friday my counts were 77,000. That's not too terribly bad, but that's not good either. Granted, my counts could be SO MUCH worse. I thank the Lord that I can still lead a normal life, for now. Doc is going to monitor my counts, and hopefully they will bounce back up. Please pray for me concerning my platelet counts. Thank you!

On Sunday I flew up to Wake Forest, NC for an interview on Monday(President's Day). Hugh wasn't able to make the trip with me because of work. The Lord really blessed me with a wonderful weekend. My friends Josh and Donna Bennett picked me up from the airport and let me stay at their house until Monday morning. They were such a blessing to me. My interview went well at Franklin Academy, and maybe I will be able to get this job come April. The Academy won't know their needs for the next year until around April. Right after the interview, I was dropped off at the airport and flew home. The flight home was the scariest flight eva. Talk about praying, sweating, splotchy skin, and almost crying. sheesh. the turbul. was terrible. I was singing the Lord's praises once I was able to walk on solid ground. Coming home to my sweet Hugh was wonderful! I had missed him so much! We really have not been apart much during our first year. (Our very first anniversary is coming up April 3rd!! yippie!)
So, that's that for now folks. Have a blessed day, and thanks for dropping by!
