Right after dinner, Hugh and I try to head outside with the girls for either a walk with the whole family or to enjoy a little bit of outside play before bathtime.
Pretty Laney
I love the next few pictures of Laney. Usually I delete blurry ones, but there was just something beautiful about each picture, something I want to remember about Laney
at age four.
at age four.
She looks so sophisticated here with her dark wash trouser blue jeans, yet she looks so tiny. Look at her compared to the van. She's still my little four year old, even though at times, I think she seems so much older.
I love the way this picture below shows Laney walking.
I love how Mattie is in focus, but everything else in the background isn't.
Mattie was spinning here, and right after this picture was taken, we quickly resolved the spinning. We continually teach her that spinning, getting dizzy and getting hurt or a tummy ache just isn't fun.

Big Papi getting ready for some running around with his girls
Ha. I caught Mattie with a funny facial expression as she was running down the driveway to Hugh and Laney.
Mattie's features are so defined. I love how her eye brows are long, arched, and how they frame her beautiful eyes. And look at how long her hair is getting! I can't believe it.
Mattie, you look so big here.
Mattie and Laney ran down to Hugh at the end of the driveway. Such a sweet picture.
Hugh has always been so great with really interacting and playing with the girls, whether it be wrestling, chase, or kicking the soccer ball. He's a great Daddy.

I love me some candids.
Just so sweet. Mattie was loving this, even though she was screaming and laughing at the same time. But who wouldn't with that scruffy beard all over your face and neck?
The Daddy beard. And to think that so few children ever get to play with their Daddy like this. I am thankful that my girls have a great Daddy, who loves them very much.
