Hollie: Let's clean off this chalkboard and draw something.
Laney: Oh!! Okay! Yeah! (jumping around getting excited)
Laney: Mommy, let's draw a ward.
Hollie: A Ward?
Laney: Yeah, a Ward.
Hollie: A ward? What's a ward?
Laney: (VERY LOUDLY) A WARD!
Hollie: Hmm....
Laney: A WWWARD!!! (She's pretty frustrated by this time.)
Hollie: A Ward...a ward... (I was really trying hard to think of what she's saying)
Finally, Laney started to singing...
Laney: ...."He's got the whole "ward" in His hands, He's got the whole "ward" in His hands..."
I started giggling at her cuteness, picked her up and we both sang the song together. After putting her down, I then was amazed at her cleverness. In her frustration, she thought to sing a song that had the word "world" in it to get me to understand her fully. Way to go Laney!!!
