39 weeks, 1 day!

Yesterday I turned 39 weeks! I had a Dr's app't on Tuesday and there was no action going on, which is fine by me. Hugh has been sick for a month (truly, a whole month) with serious bronchitis and almost to the point of it leading into pneumonia. It's been a slow process, but he's slowly recovering. He's definitely not 100% yet, but I'm thankful for every day that we have for his health to improve.
Laney is excited more than ever. We talk about Mommy and Daddy going to the hospital to have Baby soon, who is going to come take care of Laney while we're gone, what they will do, when they will come visit Baby at hospital. She's so excited to meet and hold Baby. Every time we talk about her, Laney says, "I tickle Baby!" She just loves tickling little kids. Really, it's not even a tickle, just a pretend tickle.

My due date is next Wednesday, August 26th. At my app't on Tuesday, I decided to not be induced if I go over my due date. So, the plan is for me to go all the way to 42 weeks if need be. Now, I'm not excited about this option, but since I'm a VBAC patient (wanting to have a natural birth after already having had a c-section before), it's not advisable for a patient to have pitocin to be induced. Pitocin causes unnatural labor pains with a great frequency, putting more stress on my c-section scar. I'm praying that I go sometime next week.

Here's Laney and Hugh playing at her table that I recently moved to the nursery. She has a little "station" for her to play while I nurse Baby.

Here's Hugh putting the infant car seat back together after us taking it apart to wash it all. How exciting! Laney was all into helping Daddy put the Baby's car seat together.

Here's my big girl sporting low pigtails! She fell last night at church and received a nice strawberry "rug burn" on her chin. Perfect timing for my maternity/family pics tonight.

I'm so glad you have some wise doctors up there who know not to induce. And what a blessing to actually have hospitals that will do a VBAC.

I'm so excited for you. I like the idea of Laney having a table to play at in the baby's room. And I like that chalkboard I saw in the living room!!

Love you, girl. Not much longer!

Hi Hollie! I seriously cannot believe how good you look! You look great! I will be praying for you and can't wait to see pics of Laney meeting her sister for the first time. It is one of my favorite memories from when Jonathan was born.
