Fabric Coasters

I just made these for my friend Gi to give at a wedding shower she's attending. She chose black and white on the front and a black and red on the back, since the wedding colors are black and red. I thought these came out well. The coasters have flannel in the middle to make them sturdy, as well as absorbant. (Cut your fabric 5 1/2 inches and sew together right sides facing each other with flannel in back. Leave a small space to turn inside out. Be sure to edge stitch. And you have cool, yet functional fabric coasters! )

Oh, they turned out so pretty. My first ones were very lumpy on the corners; I'm not sure why. Yours look great!

Cool coasters! I am making coasters to give as Christmas gifts, and am going to try batting in the center. We'll see if they turn out:-)

Hollie,
What did you put in the middle of yours? I know you mention flanned, but is that all you used? I've got some fabric I want to use and make some...

Christina,
All I used was flannel. Be sure to wash your flannel before you sew it together. And I want to see yours when you make them!
