Laney's response after I put on her Hello Kitty press-on nails from Target's dollar section. She LOOOOVED them! If you look closely, you can see her little nails on HER right hand.
The GAP fleece she's wearing was a find from the Share Shop when I was pregnant with Laney, even before I knew what I was having. The Share Shop is a ministry to Seminary Students, where you can go in to what looks like a small Good Will and walk straight out without paying a dime. Everything is free!!! And at times, you find really cool stuff, like this GAP fleece! I'm so thankful for the Share Shop!
My heart melts when I hear Laney's sweet, lyspy words. Here recently she's been saying "rife!!" when I tell her that we're having rice for lunch or dinner. One that she has been saying a while is her pronunciation for bread, pronounced like "beh-ad", but she says it back to back and with LOTS of enthusiasm because she LOVES bread. When she says "Daddy" it sounds like Daddy, but if you watch her mouth is looks like "Thaddy." She can identify lots of letters on her own (that's what we do in the bathtub with her alphabet letters and reading her abc books) For example, she knows and says "D" as clear as day, but in context, sometimes it comes out like a "th." I think it's PRECIOUS. We melt at her attempts to talk like us. She counted from 1-10 on her own a few weeks ago, before we attempted potty-training. She's so much fun right now.

Below is one of my favorite pictures of all time. She LOVES to put on hats, scarves, headbands and most definitely shoes. Any shoe in the house is free-game. Here in this moment, I was teaching her to stand still and smile on cue while I took a picture of her. All of a sudden she gave me the look below. Her expression was hilarious.

Love that shirt with the butterfly. I bet Maggie would be thrilled with press-on nails... I don't know if I want to get that started just yet! :O She does love to get her toes painted.
I remember the share shop when I was in seminary. I didn't make too much use of it then, but now that I'm married with kids, it sure would be a resource!
How many times can we say it - our girls are SO much alike!!
Are you kidding? She is the cutest thing ever!! I asked Lana to sing "Twinkle, Twinkle" in the car the other day....she started singing it, and then finished it sounding JUST LIKE Laney...with those big, in-tune sounds. Dan & I rolled laughing, especially when she said, "Mommy, I'm singing like Laney!" The Davis family LOVES Laney Carson!
Oh, she is SO cute! Great pictures!
