Well, hello there big camel face staring at me. This is a NC State Fair Camel and when Hugh Dad and Dee-Dee came up to visit us, they took us to the Fair! It was so much fun! I think this picture is hilarious. Way to go Hugh-- this shot rocks!
Grandpa and Lanes! It's just so fitting for a Grandpa to shoulder carry his grandkids at the Fair.
Grandpa and Dee-Dee!!!!
Here's Laney loving her some Dee-Dee! Laney busted her mouth before we arrived at the Fair, and she was in a lot of pain. She had a pretty deep cut on the inside of her bottom lip. Here she is warming up to the busy surroundings of the Fair. As you know, this is very much unlike Laney to be this reserved at the Fair. Thankfully, she started to feel better as time passed.
Most people say there's no difference in the way a goat and sheep sound. Oh yes, there is, and Laney will be the first to teach you the difference. Meeeee says the goat, Baaaa says the sheep. Sounds simple, but back when I was teaching Laney her animal sounds, I remember thinking about this very thing too, so I had to find out for myself.
The picture below makes my heart melt. Hugh is SUCH an awesome Daddy, and this picture is just a little glimpse of what I see every day.

Nothing like a sweet Doodle kiss!
Those sweet, big eyes were wide-open all evening as she was in pure amazement at all the lights and roller coasters. You can tell from the way Laney was holding her mouth that she was still in pain. Her poor bottom lip was swollen and hurting. We had to stop and get some numbing gel on our way to the fair.
Look at my little "hambone" and her pretend smile. Hee-hee!
Here we are waiting on Grandpa to return with a Bloom'n Onion. Oh yeah, we TOTALLY went crazy on Fair food and surprisingly, I didn't dig it all that much this year, except for the Bloom'n Onion. When you don't eat candy and sugar all that much, it's just not all that enticing anymore. (Except for snickers. Not deep friend snickers, but just good o'l snickers. Snickers doesn't need any help from the Fry Daddy. Either do oreos. okay, so snickers and oreos are a bit tempting, but not candy.) It's out of my system, whereas before I was glued to it and had sugar cravings after every meal. I did, however, LOVE me some corn on the cob on a stick with butter dripping off it. Yummy!YEEEEEEEEEEE -- HAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeeeeee-hawwww! Go Hugh go!! Hugh rode the bull, as you can see in the pics and he said it was SOOOO hard to stay on. I was so proud of him!!!

This picture cracks us both up!

Gotta get a Three-Generational Picture when you can. For the record, Laney looks HUGE here. Even her face is so mature looking. Sniff-sniff...

Tootles!!!
