9 months

Laney turned 9 months on Sept 6th! Yeeeaahhh!!! Praise the Lord for giving us great health and a sweet 9 month old baby! Laney is so much stink'n fun right now at this age. She's so responsive, mobile, and inquisitive. That's a dangerous combination, ya know. (By the by: Can I just say that the picture above MELTS MY HEART AWAY?! Ah! It definitely is going into the hall of fame pics! I stare at this picture all the time. I think she looks like such a big girl! Look at the rolls on her skinny, little legs!)

I'm sporting serious bedhead and sleepy eyes this morning. Though still sleepy, I'm still a little flirt in the morning.

Deep thoughts by Laney Carson

With Laney's cloth diapers, she's pushing the limits on 9 month clothes. Even with disposables on, some things are still tight in the torso/shoulder area. She gets that from her Daddy and Nana Quita. They are fine for RIGHT NOW, but in a month, I don't see us using all of her 9 month things. 12 month is quickly approaching. Yet, just yesterday she was wearing a 6-9 month dress. Dresses are different than one-pieced clothing like pj's or those onsie-dresses.

My friend Kelsey and Kathleen gave me this beautiful sleeper. Mama says it's the most beautiful sleeper she's ever seen.

Laney just got out of her Bumbo seat for the second time all by herself. That little sneakster! I have come to LOVE the bumbo seat now. For the longest time, she didn't like it and bucked when she was in it, but I use it all the time now for short periods of time where I have to do something quickly and need her to stay in one spot. But now that she's getting out on her own, I might have to retire the bumbo within the month of September.

My Great Aunt Joan gave me this orange and pink outfit. I love it! It came as a surprise in the mail. It's my first 12 month outfit I've worn.

I think Mama drank too much caffeine in her coffee this morning. What do you think?

Laney is also teething majorly. The teeth haven't crowned yet, but Hugh and I both know that she's definitely not herself. The night that Hugh had to get up with Laney(he has one night a week--even though I don't sleep still b/c I hear them), she was inconsolable. She never cries and has been a bit fussy lately. She wouldn't eat even a bite of food for days and sometimes turned her head to a bottle. She's back to eating now, which makes me feel so much better. I begin to worry about her when she doesn't eat, because she LOVES to eat. And lastly, the diarrhea. Oh my goodness. I love cloth diapering, but I'm not a purist. This past week we've been in disposables because her teething has caused the worst diarrhea known to mankind. The poor girl needs a diaper change every hour, if not every half hour and it always has a nice surprise in it for Mommy and Daddy. She even has dirty diapers all throughout the night, which she NEVER has. I do believe her two front teeth are going to crown soon, for I see two white bumps where her teeth will eventually be.

Here are some pictures of Laney this past week:

Don't worry, Daddy wasn't driving when this picture was taken.

My friends Brandi and Tiffany(from GA) came to visit me this week. I really like them!

Have a good week everyone! Bye bye!!!!

Re: teething. As the one who knows alot about baby stuff, have you heard of the homeopathic teething tablets? Julie told me about them, but I forgot. Sometimes orajel and baby motrin doesn't seem to help Gideon, so this other lady reminded me of these tablets. They're TINY, and completely natural, and they dissolve almost immediately. Results are pretty quick...however, if you're still nursing, you're supposed to ask a doctor...got ours from CVS. Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets...they're in the pain reliever section AND the baby section.

Laney is hilarious! I love the sleepy pics. I second the Teething Tablets; they worked well for Maggie, and I didn't feel like I was drugging her! We've also discovered Pop Ice. Maggie still teeths, and often we'll grab a frozen Pop Ice from the freezer and let her chew on it (Of course we don't cut it open; she doesn't get anything out of it.) It seems to work well. Love you guys. Only 4 more days!

Laney does have the biggest smile, Hollie she's going to smile and laugh just like you I bet. She is cutest little girl!! Teething days stink, we're still having them with Ethan trying to cut his 2 year molars. I just got some of those teething tablets so I'm anxious to try them too.

I wish I had some insight about teething so I could join in the conversation...but, well, I got nothing...Except Laney's teeth are way cute.
You'll never believe this....but I updated my blog. Check it out!

you guys she makes me laugh so hard when I see her smile! She seems to have the same bubbly personality as Evie! We really need to get them together so they can play and laugh! We haven't hit any of that other teething stuff - but I guess it's coming - let me know what works the best for you guys out of everything...
by the way how is Sam and his mom? We have been thinking of them...

Hollie,
I can not believe how big she is now. She has grown so much since the last time I saw her. She is simply beautiful! Can not wait to see you all at the wedding. I can watch Laney while you guys do all the wedding stuff if you need me too. You will have to come see my house and see all the work Clayton has put into it. We miss ya'll.
Love you,
Ashley
