Hang out time

After Laney hits the sack around 7:30, we're learning that that's when our social time begins! We had Caleb and Kimberly Holland come over after dinner to introduce them to Cranium and have some of Hugh's homemade pound cake. MMM!!! We definitely put on a pound or two that night. I've been itching to play Cranium. I want to have a bunch of people over to play soon! Here are some clips of Hugh's "Humdinger"(I was cracking up) and Kimberly's "Sculpturades." When we were preparing for Laney's arrival and for parenthood, we decided to take Bradly classes instead of Hospital classes. We learned so so much in that class. Here's the reunion of some of the people in our group with all of the babies. Not everyone was able to make it. I thought it was soo cool to see every one's babies and to hear birthing stories. Trust me, there were some serious birthing stories being told. :)



Laney just about tackled the other babies, since she was the oldest of the babes.


The funniest part was when we sat the babies on the couch! I laugh just looking at these pictures. Laney looks HUGE compared to the other tiny babies that are only 10 lbs. Two of them are twins. Some are crying their heads off, which is funny to see in the pics. One of the boys is sooo asleep that they had prop him up next to Laney. Laney was thinking, "What in the heck is this boy doing all on top of me?!" HA!






We changed Laney into her pj's before we left, since it was already past her bedtime. Good thing we did, b/c she fell asleep on the way home, so all we had to do was carry her to her bed for the night.

I've been trying to read to Laney as much as I can. Some days I just forget to read to her because our days are so busy. I have several books in Spanish and several in English. I'm hoping to get a WHOLE BUNCH of books in the long run. We don't watch much t.v., so I'm hoping she'll love to read!












p.s. Laney was sitting up this morning!! She was doing it all by herself yesterday as well on her 6 month birthday, but she would fall backward a lot b/c she tried to stand up. She did that this morning too. She'll flex those legs and push herself backward. She does NOT want to learn how to sit. She wants to walk walk walk! Pics coming soon!
