The day before

Tomorrow we will hold our precious baby, hear her cry, see her beautiful face, feel her soft breath on our faces, smell her sweet, baby smell, brush her fine hair....unbelievable.

Hugh is in class all day today and studying inbetween classes. He has finals next week. Hugh and I were talking about what was going on last year this time when he was having finals, for we're starting to see a stressful-trend during this time. We were moving out of our apartment all the while fixing up our foreclosure home before moving in....all of that during finals. Talk about CRAZY. We had to be out of our apartment by the end of the semester, but Hugh had finals, needed study time, I had to pack up the whole place, we had Daisy and no yard, and TONS(and I mean TONS) of work to do on the house prior to moving in.....shew...talk about a crazy time. This year, we're having a baby!!!! I'm not even going to begin to tell you how busy we've been. I'll be doing some major errands today, tidying up the place for family to arrive this evening, getting Daisy all squared away at the Vet's office,....shew....I'll be exhausted..hopefully so exhausted that my anxious mind won't even be able to keep me awake tonight.

The prednisone treatments haven't been bad at all. I believe it's made my face a little puffy, but nothing too major. It's making me SO THIRSTY though, reminding me of the dry, cotton-mouth first trimester. I just took my sixth and last dose today. Pray that my platelet count is high enough(over 100,000) to have a spinal c-section surgery.

I'm going to try to get some good eats in today, since I won't be able to eat after midnight tonight; however, I haven't been too hungry since there's not much room "in the Inn". I can't drink anything after midnight either(torture)...and my surgery is at 12:50 THE NEXT DAY. Hopefully, upon arriving to the hospital at 11:00 tomorrow, the doctor will hook me up with some IV fluids to keep me hydrated.

Last night, I found a great home-remedy for indigestion. I haven't had indigestion too badly this pregnancy,...just a little bit more in the third trimester. I've been able to eat some good spicy mexican and chinese without flinching. However, last night I had indigestion TERRIBLY,...so terribly that I was about to send Hugh out to get me some TUMS at 11:00 p.m. But.... if you take a tablespoon of baking soda, mix it with a glass full of water and guzzle that baby(holding your nose, mind you)...it's a cure!! What a difference it made! I haven't taken one TUMS this whole pregnancy, so for those of you who want to avoid medicines in general during your pregnancy(which is advised), be sure to try the indigestion home-remedy. It worked great!

Well, off to clean the house and get dressed. I'll drop in a little later for some more reflection.

Wow the emotions that come with the birth of a life are absolutely amazing. It's like you can't even put into words, I am so excited about the joy and the complete overwhelming love you are about to feel for your precious little girl...it really is impossible to truly put into words, you have to just experience it (and your about to).
