I am 17 weeks now, and I'm feeling better than ever! Baby Carson is just-a growing (so is Mama! Ha!) Here are a few pictures of what Baby Carson looks like concerning what has developed thus far. These are pictures of a 16 week pregnancy. Baby Carson is a week ahead of these babies!

Can you believe that God is knitting a baby that looks like this inside my belly?! I think I say this every day. Ha!
As for me, I am doing great! Lately I have really struggled with abstaining from lifting ANYTHING, because Hugh won't let me. Deep down I really love that I have a sweet, precious protective husband that cares about me, but I used to try to sneak in a little lift here and there and ALWAYS seemed to get caught. However, I have truly thrown in the white towel and now ask for help with EVERYTHING. Although I feel so helpless, it's very important that I protect little Baby Carson.
Let me share you a little story that really convinced me to throw in the towel. So, I got this really tall shower curtain that goes all the way up to the ceiling. I put the curtain on a shower rod and decided that I needed to stand on the toilet on my TIP TOES to get that thing way up there. Well, that wasn't enough, so I put one foot on the tub side and one on the toilet. Uhm...WHAT WAS I THINKING?!? This was a disaster waiting to happen! Suddenly, the rod came crashing down, I reacted with a jerk, and off came the toilet lid that my one leg was depending on! Deep down into the toilet my right foot went...deep into the black hole and into that wonderful toilet water! So, Hugh heard the crash and came running.....only to find me stunned standing amongst a disaster. Don't worry about scolding me for doing such a STUPID thing. I heard an earful from my protective husband. I am now on restriction and I'm willing to abstain from such things. Ya'll...I could have broken my ankle like nobody's business. The Lord was all about protecting me in that moment. I think He was seriously trying to get my attention...and He did.
Pregnancy Fog: Friends, it's begun. I've been warned, and I'm now experiencing this new-found forgetfulness. I know that I'm just grazing the surface, and I fear what life will be like when I'm in the thick of it. Stories soon to come....
The Latest Crash: Not only am I forgetting things, I'm SO clumsy now, more than I was before I got pregnant. Starting out clumsy just doesn't help the situation. Last night I was just about to get in bed...the sheets were already pulled back, my pregnancy pillow was already in place, cell phone was on its charger, face washed, teeth brushed and all I was lacking was a nice big cup of water to go beside the bed. As I was walking to the bathroom, my pinky toe decided to reach out and touch something...which happened to be the side of the bathroom door. Ouch! My leg went forward and my toe did not! I yelled out in pain, practically falling on the ground wanting to roll around on the ground like an injured football player. I thought my toe was going to be pointed side ways...it wasn't, but I do think that I fractured my metatarsel or broken something in that joint. I have one fat pinky toe. My sweet husband went and got me an ice pack. I couldn't help but think as to why the Lord allowed me to pretty much break my toe RIGHT BEFORE I headed back to teaching, which happens to be tomorrow, but God's ways are just not our ways. I could hardly get my foot in my church shoes this morning! But the Lord knows what He's doing, so I trust Him.
Well, friends...that's it for now. I will post a picture of my baby belly on here soon. Love ya'll!!

Hollie, you crack me up!! What's with you always wrapping your toes around doors and corners. Remember in New York when David Kirkland thought you had a bone sticking out when you hurt your little toe!! LOL!! Hugh, take care of that girl and don't let her get into any more trouble.
LOL....LOL....oh my goodness. The New York toe story! I forgot about that one. LOL. Seriously, I'm cracking up. Thanks for the mem, Kimberly.

Oh, Hollie! I just want to bust out laughing right now, but I have to stifle one of those "church laughs" because I'm in a public library with people all around me. The girl beside me probably wonders what in the world I'm doing over here. Good luck with the white towel throwing!
All I have to say, is if you give in now you've done given yourself the GREATEST gift ever! :)
There is nothing more wonderful than to see a wife let her husband care for her and a husband willing to care for his wife.
We ( women) are so caught up in caring for everyone else that we forget to let those who love us care for us too. It's great that you are throwing in that towel. Enjoy it and Hugh- You're an amazing husband to Hollie, keep up the great work.
Dw and I are so looking forward to seeing what this new baby Carson will look like! :)
love to you both ~
