Getting Bigger!

I know, I know...I'm in trouble for not having updated sooner. So sorry! Let's see...what's happened since the last time I updated? Well...first and foremost, I'm getting BIGGER. I love it! (As long as I only get bigger in the belly,....wait....who am I kidding?) I'm feeling much better and have so much energy! I'm feeling more like the old Hollie again. I'm ready to start thinking about nursery plans, cribs, names, as well as ready to get rid of the Carson Clutter. Mercy me....Hugh and I are both "stuffers." I love organization, but I will stuff and stuff things into a pantry, closet, onto a laundry shelf, under the cabinets until things are falling on me. Then, I hit the wall. You know that "wall"....the one that you love hitting every 3 months as you get rid of all the junk you've held on to so tightly for no good reason. That's what I've been doing all day today, since I decided last night that we're going to have a garage sale tomorrow morning bright and early. Ha! We have to make room for Baby Carson!

Another deal I'm facing is the fact that I can't fit into 95% of my old clothes. My shirts are too short, and my pants won't fit around my waist(what waist?). So, I hit the "wall" one day and I packed up my whole closet, which was liberating. Then I looked with sad droopy eyes at my bare closet with only a few little stragglers into which I could still squeeze. I've been hunting for sales, which is my favorite thing to do, but one has to have time to hunt when you live out where we do. Maternity clothes are EXPENSIVE, and the worst part about purchasing these large clothes is that you spend all of your money, and you can't wear them next year or even 6 months later for that matter. Two of my friends have been so gracious to let me borrow the maternity clothes they bought. I'm sooo thankful! My mom has also bought me a few things, which is just so nice. But seasons can be different and sizes too, so things don't transfer perfectly, but they will get some use for sure! I hope I can help someone out one day with my maternity clothes.

Last story of the day, and I saved the best one for last. This one made me blush. So, I dropped by this nice thrift store near us to see if I could find any maternity clothes. I asked the lady working as to where I could find the maternity section. I knew it had to be small since there wasn't even a sign. I managed to find 2 pieces, one for winter and one for end of summer/fall. When my turn came around to purchase the goods, the same lady said, "Oh, you found some!" I said, "Yeah..one for winter and one for now." She stopped, looked at me, and asked with so much curiosity in her voice.."When are you due?" "In December." She replied matter-of-factly, "Oh, you've got more than one in there." My eyes got big and my face instantly turned red, "Well......uh......that's what we're wondering, because I'm REALLY sticking out in front and so early." There was a l-o-n-g pause..........She asked, "What day in December?" This lady was stumped and didn't know what to say. "December 16th." .....Still a long pause.......Finally she said, "Well, smaller girls like you seem to show more earlier." I said, "Yeah..." as I was still freaking out inside and trying to get my face to return to normal color. She said, "Honey, ......I'm just trying to give you an excuse." Dern GINA! The crazy part is that Hugh and I have been wondering if THERE IS more than one in there, since I am all in front and that belly is pretty big for only 13 weeks. Some don't even show until 15-16 weeks. But honestly, we saw the ultra sound, and there was only one little gummy bear in there. We heard ONE heartbeat. So...for now, that's what we're believing to be true. There is always the possibility that there could be a shy one in there and it could have been hiding behind the other one. But the kicker is that the heartbeats would have to be in sync. WHAT ARE THE ODDS??? No way. We're not having twins. There's just one little Babe-a-roo-skee in there. Shew! I just think I'm one of those pregnant ladies that's all out front, and ya know, I like that! That was quite a moment for me that will forever stick in my memory.

Hollie,
Melissa Hughes gave me your blog site address. I've been emailing Hugh, but haven't gotten a response, so I assume that email address is down.

We're pregnant too - 25 weeks. I didn't start showing until about 15 or 16 weeks myself. I am part of babyfit.com and another woman on there who is due in October just found out she's having twins (at 22 weeks). One was hiding behind the other for every ultrasound and thier heartbeats were in sync just like you said.
I suppose you'll find out if there are two a little later after the next ultrasound.
Congratulations!
