So, I'm guessing ya'll are wanting details concerning little one?? We thought less was more when we first announced the pregnancy for shock value. Thank you so much for commenting and celebrating with us. You just don't know how great it is to have your friends behind you and excited for you. Encouragement is such a beautiful thing. We need all the encouragement you're willing to give!
Baby Carson was a surprise to both of us, but a lovely surprise at that. God had been working on our hearts over the past six months. Doctors told me that I would have a hard time conceiving since I have the micro-adenoma on my pituitary gland(small 2mm size growth). So, we really didn't think conception would occur, but we had been praying about starting a family around a year from now. Ha! Isn't the Lord hilarious?! LOL! In fact, I have an Endocrinologist appointment tomorrow that's been scheduled for months to talk about family planning for the next year. The Lord is so wonderful to have blessed us with this baby, and although we are still in shock and can't seem to get the truth that God is knitting a BABY in my tummy through our thick skulls, we are excited to experience the Lord in such a way. We will be forever changed. Our dependence on the Lord will be so strong, unlike we've ever experienced, throughout this journey. We are excited!
I'm already starting to show at 9 weeks and 5 days, and let me tell you, it's mind boggling looking in the mirror and seeing a big tummy sticking out! CRAZY! I will be 10 weeks on Sunday! The due date is December 16th! I'm not going to lie though, the first several weeks of this trimester were rough. I thought time would never pass. I think I'm now a camel, b/c I drink so much stink'n water it's UNBELIEVABLE. Fatigue to the nth degree! I'm NOT lying. I felt like I had Mono or dropsy! Ha! And food aversions have been another big adjustment. I'll cook a meal for Hugh and I, sit down at the table, take a few bites and just about turn green. I love foods...all foods, and I can't bear to bring myself to eat normal things. Cereal has saved me time and time again. I still am not feeling up to my normal Hollie-self, but I think this week has been better than the rest. I've had my share of emotional roller-coasters, worries over the what-ifs, but I've learned that Father truly wants us to come to Him with these all-consuming worries. And I truly don't want to carry those burdens around.

I have told my school my desires of wanting to teach until December, but that I intend to leave my school after the birth to stay home with Baby. How will we survive financially? How will Hugh go to Seminary and work full time? Those are great questions and ones you can pray about to our Great God until He answers! I'm just thankful that Franklin Academy will let me teach and get health insurance throughout the pregnancy.
Well, we have posted a few pictures of the day we found out(pregnancy stick in hand), along with some positive tests. I couldn't believe it for the first week, so I kept taking pregnancy tests for confirmation. I think I collected up to 7 in a row at one time! Ha! Hilarious! I'll be posting more pictures soon!
Oh, by the way, Hugh and I are not wanting to find out the sex of the baby, so if you happen to look at the Chinese Birth Chart(which has proven successful time and time again), please PLEASE do not tell us or even give us a hint of what you know. We'd greatly appreciate that! Thanks, and we'll keep you posted!

Hollie, what in the world is a Chinese Birth Chart? Will you please explain to this baby-challenged girl?
The Chinese Birth Calendar/Chart, is a chart that predicts the sex of your baby using two factors: 1.) The age of the mother when the baby was conceived
2.) The month in which the baby was conceived
Let me tell you, I've run the chart by a million people, and I think only one came back shady, but I don't think that particular person knew their age and month at which conception happened. I already have a "hunch" as to what our baby is b/c Bill and Julie Ingram are pregnant and they were talking about the Calendar. She's around my age...so I'm trying to block out everything they've said about the Calendar. They conceived in January and are trying to have a boy.
Well...all you need to do is google it and a ton of them will come up. Enjoy!
Jenny,
I have revised the blog to tell how far along I am and the due date! (9 weeks/5 days -- due December 16th) A Christmas baby!! Yippie!!!
HOllie,
Thanks for all of the updated info. I knew that you would pull through for me..and give me lots of 411! I am so excited that ya'll are not finding out the sex of the baby...i think it makes the birth SO much more exciting. However, i have NO experience in that area..so i wouldn't know! Anyway, i will keep stalking your blog for the next 9 months and beyond! Love MC <><
Hollie, I think that's around Eric Colson's birthday. His is the 15th.
Hugh & Hollie,
Thank you for all the wonderful details! We are soooooooooo excited for you! We are praying for you both, the baby, finances, everything, etc. We know our God is sufficient for all your needs.
With much love,
Robert, Angelia & Savannah
Hollie and Hugh, There are few surprises in this world that come with the word JOY in them! I think that is the best way to do :) atleast until you have 2 little boys and the everyone is telling you "oh this is going to be a boy"... Then the surprise is not so Joyful :) Better to prepare than to be surprised :) ... ofcourse that is a bit jumping the gun so enjoy the surprise inside! :)
I do pray that you will continue to be in good health and that little Carson will grow and become mature enough to join us in this wonderful world. ...
we love you both and are so excited for you...
can you send me your mailing address "please"....

My guess is that your bambino is going to have red hair with a huge, HUGE grin!
By the way, you think the Chinese Birth Chart can tell me when OUR baby is going to finally make her entrance? We're 6 days and counting now!
You KNOW how excited we are and have been about baby Carson!! Ethan can't wait to have a little somebody to play with. Your lives are about to change in a wonderful way.
