D.J. Shockley surprised everybody with the way he played Saturday against Boise St. I was optimistic about his play this year because our offensive line is one of the best in the nation. Also, the coaching staff revamped the offense to fit Shockley's style as opposed to Greene's drop back style. I think that even the most optimistic Georgia fan would not have expected 6 TD's from D.J. 6? What? He threw for just under 300 yards, and that with our wideouts dropping 5 balls. This is the year our receivers need to step up. And for Boise State . . . when Zebransky threw the first (on his 1st pass attempt) of his 4 interceptions in the first half, I was really excited. And I was equally excited when he threw his 2nd pick (on his 2nd pass attempt), but I just started to feel a little sorry for him when he proceeded to throw 2 MORE interceptions AND fumbl

e the ball twice . . . before halftime. Now, I loved how the dawgs were kicking tail, but watching Zebransky was just pitiful. The announcers were talking before the game how he is the heart of Boise's team and that he was on the watch list for a couple quarterback awards. Evidently, some people were even talking Heisman for the Z-man. He probably kissed that one goodbye. Nothing like 6 turnovers and no touchdowns for killing some stats. I'm certain that Zebranksy really is a good quarterback. How else could Boise have averaged 49 pionts per game last year? Is Georgia's defense that good after losing 3 starters in the first round of the draft? I'll say this, I'm very happy with how our defense played Saturday against a quarterback having his worst game ever. Anyway, Bulldawgs are 1-0! Next week we've got the chickens from Columbia, South Carolina. Bring 'em on!
